About LA SOL

more than just a soccer club

LA Sol Athletics is more than just a football club, it’s a community of athletes and experts that live, eat, and breathe football. Every player who wears this crest and every coach who guides them is part of something bigger than the game.

Our Story

A New Chapter in
American Soccer

LA Sol Athletics was founded with a single belief: every young player in Los Angeles deserves a real path forward in football. Not just a team to play for, but a club that invests in who they are and who they can become.

Rooted in the diverse neighborhoods of LA, our club is built from the ground up — by the community, for the community. We are not a franchise parachuted in from elsewhere. We are homegrown.

In our inaugural 2026 season, LA Sol competes in the UPSL Western Conference, playing home matches at Jesse Owens Stadium at Cal State LA — a 5,000-seat venue renovated and steeped in Olympic history.

What Drives Us

Mission & Values

LA Sol Athletics exists to develop young men on and off the pitch — providing a pathway where talent, discipline, and character are rewarded regardless of background.

Player Development

We invest in coaching, training infrastructure, and individual development plans that give every player the tools to reach their ceiling.

Community First

From East LA to South Central, our programs reach neighborhoods where opportunity doesn’t always knock. Soccer is the vehicle — belonging is the destination.

Clear Pathway

Academy to first team. First team to professional leagues. We build bridges, not dead ends — giving players a visible route from grassroots to the top.

Education

Football and academics go hand in hand. We support our players’ education and personal growth because the best athletes are complete human beings.

Diversity & Inclusion

Los Angeles is the most diverse city in the world. Our club reflects that — on the pitch, in the stands, and in every decision we make.

Competitive Excellence

We play to win. Every match, every training session, every moment. Excellence is not negotiable — it’s the standard.

Our Home

Jesse Owens Stadium

Our home is Jesse Owens Stadium at Cal State LA — a 5,000-seat venue with Olympic pedigree. Originally built in 1958 and renovated in 2018, the stadium features a state-of-the-art synthetic turf pitch and an eight-lane track set against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Located at 22 Circle Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90032, the stadium is accessible via the I-10, the Cal State LA Metrolink station, and over a dozen Metro and Foothill Transit bus routes. It is one of the few collegiate venues in Southern California with its own on-campus rail stop.

Our Identity

The Badge

The LA Sol crest carries the sun at its heart — a symbol of Los Angeles itself. The sun represents energy, warmth, and the relentless ambition that defines this city. It rises every morning, and so do we.

The navy and ice blue palette reflects the Pacific coastline and the night skies under which we play. Every element of the badge is intentional — this is a club that honors where it comes from while looking forward to where it is going.
